 "Artur R. Sypuła, Review of global legislation in the scope of the solutions adopted in the area

of management of the archive materials constituting non-public archive resources in Poland. The article

lists and discusses legislation applicable in selected states (mostly European ones) that includes

regulations governing the procedures of conduct related to archive materials equivalent to the archive

materials classifi ed in Poland as non-public archive resources. Based on the legal solutions introduced

in individual states, the author distinguishes four models of the related governance — Roman,

German, Anglo-Saxon and post-communist. As the primary criteria of classifi cation, he considers the

degree of statutory interference in the freedom of disposal of archive materials by their owners and the

method of exercising rights of the archives vis-a-vis developers of the law governing the non-public

archives."
