"Recently, an accelerated pace of computerization of public administration in Poland

can be observed40. In 2010, the Act was approved on amending the Act on computerization

of entities performing public tasks as well as other acts of law, including

the Act on national archival fonds and archives. As a result of those amendments,

opportunities have emerged to regulate, by law, methods of handling of electronic

documents in entities implementing public tasks, such as are at a transition

point between exclusively analogue documents and comprehensive management systems

for both analogue and electronic documents. The objective of the article is to

refresh the memory of basic principles of handling of electronic documents as well

as presentation of current status of work on new legal regulations."
