"Emilia Leśniewska, A road to the Act on National Archive Resources and Archives. The publication
was developed on the basis on materials from the archive of the Head Office of the State
Archives. The materials allowed to answer many questions related to the legislative process that has
resulted in the currently applicable Act on National Archive Resources and Archives.
Above all, the work discusses the motives based on which archivists have initiated the entire process
of amending the archive law. Entities involved in works on the Act and the impact of their opinion
on the applicable legislation are also presented here. A calendar of works and factors that delayed them
are also discussed herein, and issues that deserve individual and greater attention are touched upon
such as the attitude of authorities to church provenience archives that divided the environment and,
due to the lack of an agreement, prolonged the works."
